For Your Information                FYI Bulletin No. 01-001                27 February 2001

Dear Homeowner/Member,

Greetings of peace and prosperity from your new set of officers and members of the Board of Directors of Pacita II KMBHI (Phase I and Planet Streets)! We also welcome you to our first edition of the FYI Bulletin.

I am very pleased to announce the names and contact numbers of your duly-elected members of the Board of Directors and Officers (listed at the back of this FYI Bulletin), whose term of office became effective last 1 January 2001 and will continue up to 31 December 2001. Please allow me to thank all of you for participating in our November 2000 election. With your full support and cooperation, let us all work together for the success of our Association.

So far, your officers, Board members and the Executive Committee (composed of the block officers) have held numerous meetings to discuss the various projects and work program of our Association. In this regard, below is a partial list of the priority projects we plan to undertake in 2001:

* Setting up of a Satellite Barangay Office including the provision of barangay officers, appropriate training and equipment, etc.
* Construction of a paved parking area (about 510 sq.m.) beside the Sto. Nino Chapel duly approved by Mayor Felix Vierneza
* Setting up/Construction of the Association's Office building
* Improved and efficient water service system in coordination with Laguna Management and Service Corporation, including the study and review of alternative water systems
* Improved tricycle service, in coordination with the various tricycle associations, including the (i) setting-up of another tricycle terminal along Cardinal Street (near the Sto. Nino Chapel); and (ii) lower/standardized fares, etc.
* Improved street lighting and other power-related services, including the possible upgrading/replacement of power transformers by Meralco
* Better garbage/waste management and disposal
* Request for the exclusive use of open spaces by the Homeowners Association
* Setting up of a variety of programs and activities designed to benefit homeowners/members of all ages (e.g. health, education, sports, livelihood, environment, etc.)

* Committees

To be able to accomplish the tasks at hand, various Committees have been formed which will take responsibility for the work programs and projects outlined above. The Heads of the Committees and their contact numbers are also listed at the back for your ready reference. Please feel free to contact them for any suggestions, ideas, comments and feedback, or for volunteering to become a part of the team. We encourage everyone to be a member of any Committee in which you feel you could contribute immensely. You will receive updates on the status of the various projects through future editions of this FYI Bulletin.

* Membership, Monthly Dues and Other Fees

In the first Board meeting held on 10 February 2001, the Board decided that the Association shall start collecting the following:
* Annual Membership Fee of Fifty Pesos (P50.00) payable at the beginning of every fiscal year (although collection will be done this March 2001) to be collected by the Block Treasurers.
* Monthly Dues of Twenty Pesos (P20.00) beginning March 2001 (to be collected by the Block Treasurers). Members who would like to pay starting January 2001 are certainly most welcome!
* Standard Fees will also be collected from members securing various certificates/clearances from the Association such as construction clearances, homeowners clearances, etc. The Schedule of Fees is listed at the back for your information and reference.

* Presidential Management Staff (PMS)

The President has formed a core group of officers, namely the Presidential Management Staff (or simply PMS) composed of Ms. Lita Linsao as the Head, with Romy Bien and Beth Flormata as officers. The main function of the PMS is to assist the President in the overall planning, supervision, coordination and monitoring of the various projects and work programs of the different Committees, under his supervision and guidance.

* Implementing Rules and Regulations

Members will be duly informed of important policies and procedures through the issuance of Implementing Rules and Regulations. This activity is aimed at providing the necessary guidance in the conduct of the Association's business.

* Activities of the Social & Cultural Development Committee:
* Happy Birthday Club: We are pleased to announce the launching of the Happy Birthday Club. A list of enrollees for Cluster 1 has been completed and will start this March. A primer on this project can be obtained from Ate Lita Linsao. We are calling on enrollees to submit your "gifts" to Ate Lita for appropriate action.
* Special Social Fund: This activity is aimed at putting up a fund to help the senior citizen homeowners. We encourage everyone's support by donating your old newspapers, magazines, glass bottles, etc. and bring them to #23 Bluebird St. Please contact Ate Lita Linsao (Tel. 847-5015) for more details.

* Appeal for Your Support and Cooperation

Finally, we, your officers and Board Directors, appeal to you for your full support and cooperation for the successful achievement of the gargantuan tasks ahead. As your duly elected officers, we pledge our commitment to do our best in making our community a better place to live in.

Let's all join hands for a brighter tomorrow. Please help support your Association.

Sincerely,

Fred Flores
